19/6/23

Watkin Jones has broken ground at a former brewery as part of an ambitious £1 billion regeneration project in Cardiff. The Brains Brewery site will offer 700 build-to-rent flats.

The Cardiff Quay development is the largest build-to-rent project in Wales and will see a £200 million investment in the area from developer Legal & General. Offering studio flats and one, two, and three-bed accommodation, it will also provide over 19,500 sqft of leisure and commercial retail space.

Alex Pease, Chief Investment Officer, Watkin Jones, said: "This regeneration of a strategic site in the heart of Cardiff will deliver high quality sustainably constructed build-to-rent homes, which also helps meet the ever increasing housing demand in the area."
