Plans Lodged for 46-Storey Residential Tower
18/11/22
A Birmingham specialist residential developer has now submitted its plans for a build-to-rent scheme featuring hundreds of homes and a 46-storey tower.
Located next to Centenary Square and adjacent the City Centre Gardens, Court Collaboration's proposals for Brindley Drive include a 46-storey residential tower and an additional 15-storey structure providing 581 properties.
This comprises a mixture of one- and two-bedroom units, along with private amenities such as rooftop facilities, flexible co‑working space and gym.
Designed by CallisonRTKL, Brindley Drive involves the demolition of an existing car park developed in the 1960s.
The submission of plans follows a public consultation period.
Court Collaboration managing director Alex Neale said: "Thank you to everybody who took part in our public consultation for Brindley Drive. The feedback has helped us to finalise our plans and it's great to see the application in with the council.
"We'll now go through further engagement exercises with officers as we move towards a future committee date.
"If approved, Brindley Drive will help set a new standard for city centre living, fusing style and comfort with sustainability.
"With our recent news regarding One Eastside as well, it's truly an exciting time for Court, our partners and the city we adore."
