Manchester Developer Given Approval for ‘Biggest Project’ 41-Storey Tower
11/9/24
Manchester-based developer Progressive Living is set to embark on its biggest project to date following the approval of a 41-storey tower in Salford.
The tower will be located in Gorton Street in the Greengate regeneration area of Salford and will provide 568 self-contained studio apartments alongside four floors of amenity spaces. A landscaped roof terrace and sky bar will also feature on the 37th floor offering views across Salford, Manchester and beyond.
Progressive Living explained the plans, saying: "Our vision for Gorton Street presents an opportunity to redevelop a forgotten pocket of land in a way that will positively contribute to Salford's wider regeneration strategy for Greengate and deliver sought-after co-living accommodation that will provide quality, affordable places to live for young professionals.
"We believe the development will create a vibrant community through the array of communal spaces available to residents and promote wellbeing through its focus on lifestyle amenities. The schemes co-living offer will complement the mainly BTR tenure of adjacent towers in Greengate and bring a more affordable entry into city centre living."
