Development Partner Sought for Six London Sites
23/1/25
Lambeth Council has announced it is on the lookout for a development partner for its New Homes 6 (NH6) plan.
The New Homes Programme aims to deliver a minimum of 500 new affordable homes on council owned land by 2030. The plan aims to maximise the delivery of affordable housing, be delivered at pace, prioritise access to new homes and pursue ownership where feasible, and work closely with residents 'to create great places to live'.
A spokesperson for Lambeth Council said: "We have now started the process to procure a single Development Partner for the New Homes Programme.
"While a number of these sites currently have planning permissions in place, it is likely that the Development Partner will amend these existing planning permissions or submit new planning applications, in order to maximise the delivery of new homes.
"Our Development Partner will focus on maximising the delivery of affordable homes, while ensuring a viable development, based on current designs and changes to regulations and legislation."
Altogether the six sites aim to deliver 447 new homes.
The sites included in the NH6 programme includes Denby Court, Larkhall Depot, Wootton Street, Trinity Rise, Knights Walk Phase 2 and Jonathan and Orsett Street.
The spokesperson added: "We aim to include residents and stakeholders throughout the development process, once a Development Partner has been procured."
